Wonder when that piece of news will be confirmed.  Off to London later to see the ol' duchess and the folks for a few days.  By the time Bess and I get there this should have been sorted out.  Cheerio chaps.

Alot or rumour and speculation, apparently nothing will be announced until Friday as there is a Renault thing going on today that Ghosn doesn't want over shadowed by F1 talk, funny that as there seems to be nothing but Renault F1 talk at the moment.

Will they leave immediately, will they leave after 2010, will they stay as an engine supplier? I believe Red Bull have confirmed an extension of their engine contract with Renault as a deal couldn't be agreed with Mercedes.

I hate all this rumour crap as I just spend all day surfing the net trying to find out what's going on.

I reckon they are going to announce their departure end of 2010 and remain as an engine supplier.

I can't see Renault sticking around after next year. Maybe they'll remain as an engine supplier, assuming the Cosworth doesn't blow it into the weeds next year.

Looks like F1 will further contract into M-B (via McLaren and Brawn) vs Ferrari.

The Toyota boss his name escapes me, thought they were racing in 2010 too, until yesterday!

That sounds like they're trying to put some kind of pressure on the FIA - maybe to give them more money?

If that's the case then Renault have them by the balls.

Autosport says that Formula Renault 3.5 series champion Bertrand Baguette will make his Formula 1 debut next month when he tests for the Renault team.

Presumably he'll be left with the crumbs sandwiched between Kubica and Grosjean. I hope he doesn't make a bloomer.

Hopefully he'll be a success, otherwise he'll be toast.

If Prodrive takes over, it might not be such a bad thing - at least they'd have the skills and experience to do a good job, and the commitment to stick around.

Did you mean "Oh dear, Renault will leave"

or

"Oh dear; someone on here has looked at James Allan's website"?

Money saving tip brought to you by me.

To save posting long links, just copy it to TinyURL.com where it will create the same thing, like I did below:

http://tinyurl.com/cocksopinion

Honestly it randomly came up with that link.

See? Magic!

I'd like to see Prodrive get in as they are a decent outfit.

Hhhmmmm - Renault could well save face, and a fair wedge of dosh, by handing it all over to Prodrive. Who have the capability to be a front-running team, I should think.

Prodrive with Renault engines would be good for F1, because Prodrive scored decent results with BAR-Honda in 2003 and 2004, and it would mean that Renault remain in the sport.
