This popped up on one of the banner adds on the forum and it was a bit small to see what it was, so I clicked on it. Despite its size, it is still considerably smaller than my first flat and I could have bought nearly 6 of them for this money. No idea they were this expensive!!

Over 4k a month, makes my mortgage seem a bloody bargain.

They may be rather expensive but I'd take a Bentayga over a Range Rover all day.

Think I would have an FPace or a Cayenne and the green M6 pointed out by Racing (and £20K or £30K in the bank)

I think I'd rather be labotomised but then I'd be the ideal customer.

Just who has over 4k a month for a car payment? Who has over 4k a month anyway?!

Repulsive and expensive.  Great combination.

(Ugh - now I'm getting their banner ad.)

Presumably the sort of people who can afford to spend £200k or more on a car (that probably won't be their only vehicle, either)

But surely they'd be able to afford to buy it outright not on finance?

I think they get "preferential" finance rates. Plus, if it is something that appreciates faster than the finance accrues interest then it matters not?

Finance and cars is a matter of maths. I'm a contractor these days and put aside enough to buy things outright whereas when I was a salary man I'd borrow it. £4k per month is not much to some but then many of those don't have the taste to match income so will doubtless buy a Bentagaya.

I remember being in T5 some years back perusing watches with the saleswoman. We looked at a few £100k timepieces and pissed ourselves laughing at how grotesque they were and she admitted the people she sold them to had all the taste of an alley Tom-cat with full balls when a scrawny cat is on heat.

I think it was Warren Buffet who said something along the lines of

Buy things that appreciate in value,
Lease things that depreciate in value.

It appears that the super-rich prefer to keep as much of their own money invested and earning for them, just paying out as little as possible on having the use of things that depreciate (such as cars)

Or, alternatively:

If it fucks, flies, drives or floats: rent it, don't buy it.
