I was going to say you'd make a good Dr Evil, with [insert name of your dog] playing your mini-me but then I couldn't remember her name!

| Only just got to this, and it is an Ogle 1000SX, but with a different frontal treatment from the one usually seen. Any explanation for this that anyone can offer? |

Well done - that web page was done by my mate Paul who owns this car!
It's a Fletcher Ogle GT built in 1966 to race and first registered for the road in 1970 (IIRC). This car has Mini Cooper running gear and was raced at the Nurburgring in the late sixties. Apparently this a transition model between the earlier Ogle and the later Fletcher, with a restyled front end only as opposed to the restyled front and rear of the Fletcher.
Paul is restoring it to how it looked originally, hence the difference in front ends even between the different photos, of which mine are the most recent.
This is a shot I got of an earlier Ogle GT (with the different front end) racing at Knockhill last month:

| I wouldn't have found it without the earlier responses that it was an Ogle SX1000. Having said that, my first thought was that it appeared to have some relationship to a Mini Marcos which is confirmed by the link I posted. |

Yeah - I think the Mini Marcos link comes from them both having the same running gear. Paul (the GT's owner) has been really chuffed to find he has a car with some history. _________________ It's so cold right now that I'm thinking of catching gonorrhoea just for the burning sensation. |
