Me buy Mango in the nude, surely not? Weird exposure to the SEAT brand....
Yet this is what Humph's lot loaned me today whilst the CapturD was being serviced.  A 5-door Mii by Mango in Nude, a very odd name for a colour and one that presumably suits an albino (no offence meant) as it was a sort of ivory.  Lots of painted metal in the interior, little sound insulation meaning that although the mechanicals may be refined there was plenty of road noise and what appeared to be exhaust noise too.  Not driven a car for many years that had manually adjustable door mirrors yet it also had electric front windows, remote central locking, air conditioning and an electric sunroof, a very odd combination for a cheap city car.  Parcel shelf did not even have any straps to lift it when the tailgate was opened.  No idea what engine was in it apart from being petrol, but it was smooth and reasonably powerful with good low-down grunt compared to my now-departed Ka but not up to Fiesta Ecoboost standards.  Ride and handling (what little I could explore in about 25 miles) were more than decent and, for a change, the car had plenty of footspace in the driver's footwell, no hassle at all to use the clutch and move my left foot round the pedal when on the move.

No time to take photos due to a busy schedule on a rare day off work.
The Mango has plenty of showroom appeal which soon fades when on the move.

EDIT : And whoever designed the fuel filler cap system deserves to be shot

Next.....

There's a house where I walk the dogs that has an E9* BMW and a Dacia Logan on the drive. The latter is about 3 years younger than the former, but looks about 15 years older styling-wise!

Mango is a fashion house / clothing company and nude is a colour often used in for clothes. Not that odd really. And what's wrong with that spec? Surely a city car aimed at women will have aircon, leccy windows and a sunroof (for natural light when putting on the lippy)

I doubt the door mirrors get used for anything else ...

How are Dacia sales doing? I see them occasionally, but still infrequently enough for me to notice them.

They have just over 1% of the UK market.

Fits and starts, never constant but OK and achieving every thing that Renault wanted them to achieve in the UK.

Mii by Mango just makes me think of "ee bah gum"

Almost Leopard J Ferie levels of naming weirdness.

Not sure if I really should admit it here but I have a bit of a soft spot for the Duster.
