Judge Judy represents this forum and its administrators.  Her view is collective, not that of any one individual.  This thread has been locked immediately in order that nothing inflammatory is said or done, so PM the moderators if you have questions.  We want a peaceful resolution to matters.

There has been much disruption over the last two years, and we would like it to stop.  We believe that the disruption is caused because people think that they are anonymous.  This should no longer be the case.

Let’s say someone was reading this and chose to put their postcode into Google maps, and go to Streetview.  They would immediately see a house in front of them, with a car on the driveway.  This is the model of car they had previously said that their wife drove.  Its registration mark is clearly visible.

This person could then use the arrow on the horizontal line across the picture to move their viewpoint one step to the right.  They could then use the navigational compass at the top left to rotate the view to the right three times.  The view they would see would be identical to that which forms the background to a picture posted of their car on September the 7th 2010 at 9:18 a.m.

The postcode needed to see this is known to the person in question and to the administrators of this forum, so they are not anonymous.  Even if they have moved since, they could easily be traced by the police if there were the need.  We also believe we have a real name, and the list of ip addresses from banned users will be examined using software that may be able to circumvent the proxy server issues.

It is crucial that this person understands that they need feel no threat from us.  We will not make the details public, and have no intention of pursuing them in any way.  We want bygones to be bygones, and for this episode of forum life to quietly go away.

There are conditions though:

- We want an end to the silliness that has erupted periodically, for good, and for them to cease posting here.

- We want the pursuit of individuals here to cease.  There has been a veiled threat to one person, which has been saved, and such things must stop.

- These things must stop for good.  Most of us have normal and uneventful lives.  Even five years down the line, threats or suspicious material, by email, forum or post, will be assumed to have come from the current source unless there is evidence to suggest otherwise.

If these conditions are not met, the police will become involved.  Those affected are prepared to make statements, and go to court if necessary.  Having discussed the matter with the police, we know that there is sufficient cause for them to investigate.  The information to be passed to the police would include details of address etc, ip addresses from every banned user, abusive PMs and screenshots of every page from the bawdy forum.  These might be deleted from the web in future, but how they stood two days ago is a matter of permanent record.

So guys, time to move on, for us and for you.  The matter ends here as far as we are concerned, and we hope that you will agree.
