So Hamilton wins on the tight street circuit at Singapore, but Suzuka isn't anything like it, so the results for the next race are anyone's guess. And that's exactly what this thread is for - guess the top eight finishers, the pole taker and fastest lapper at the Japanese GP, as well as answering the bonus question: how many Force Indias will Fisichella finish ahead of?

Right, having wasted my time last Friday waiting for practice to end and making an assessment based on that, I'm now going to just have a stab at it today to see if I can beat my 1 point of Malaysia.
1. Button
2. Glock
3. Hamilton
4. Webber
5. Raikkonen
6. Rosberg
7. Alonso
8. Trulli
Pole: Button
F/L: Hamilton
Bonus: 1
This result means that Button will be champion which would be great to do in Japan in the car that was a Honda at Suzuka, a circuit owned by....Honda _________________ Call the fire brigade, call the firebrigade......

A long overdue return to a truly great circuit - matched only by Spa in my opinion. Can't wait - I reckon Suzuka 2005 is still one of the finest F1 races this decade. Here's hoping for something similarly epic this weekend. _________________ "Racing is life. Everything before and after is just waiting." Steve McQueen |

Love or hate Hamilton, you can't fault his attitude:
| Quote: | | "This track is awesome! This is the best track I’ve ever driven. It’s something very special for me and I had a great time today, even though it was wet. We didn’t do much running - we weren’t supposed to be running this afternoon, but I couldn’t help it: I just had to go out and have a little bit of fun! I’ve heard it’s going to be dry for the race, I’m just looking forward to getting out there in the dry and seeing how fast you can push around here." |

| Nobody has a clue, because both practice sessions were wet - the second so much so that hardly anybody did any running at all. |

Like every hobby/wannabe racing driver, I have a tiny voice in my head which tells me I'd be up to the job of peddling an F1 car. And about twice a year it's silenced.
The final minutes of practice 2 this morning was one such moment - the sight of Alonso hammering through the Esses in what looked like half an inch of standing water, absolutely flat out on his first flying lap, was pure magic. Welcome back Suzuka.

F/L: Hamilton

Oh my word.
Three red flags and five massive crashes. And it's only qualifying.
It just goes to show that while Suzuka can look deceptively easy with those fast, flowing corners, it is actually very tricky and can chew you up and spit you out if you're too overconfident. _________________ On the other side of the world - Hurlecot de Millou

Not sure who has ever said Suzuka is easy. Enjoyable, yes but that's because it's challenging _________________ Call the fire brigade, call the firebrigade......

Seems like qualifying used up all the action for the weekend. Nothing of note during the race save for the young Spanish bloke's accident. _________________ On the other side of the world - Hurlecot de Millou

Don't think I've ever seen such carnage during a qualifying session. On the points for style front, Kovalainen's my winner for his double 360 spin (and recovery) in between the two Degners. _________________ "Racing is life. Everything before and after is just waiting." Steve McQueen |
