I think the Mulsanne and the Ghost finally represent two genuinely comparable and competitive concepts which break from anything seen in the old days when RR and Bentley were sisters.

So, which do you think is the real deal? Whether because of brand, styling, tech or whatever. If you were offered the choice, which would you have and why?

And no, I'm not offering a "neither choice" because I'm not interested in a debate about whether both are inferior to an XJ/S8/etc, or whether you'd never be seen in dead in such a plutocratic machine. Instead, assume for the sake of argument, it has to be one or the other.

Mulsanne.  Purely because I prefer Bentleys to Royces and I think this stems from a comment I once read somewhere that stated "A Rolls Royce is a car you are driven in and Bentley is car you drive".

Ghost, despite the name.

It just seems so modern, while the Mulsanne looks like it was stuck in a time warp.

The Ghost doesn't have several design elements thrown together like the Mulsanne does. The Arnage was a far nice design.

Ghost for me.

In the past I would have said Bentley, without question, but the Rolls Royce gets my vote this time.

Agreed.

The Bentley looks like a parody of the Seraph-based Arnage, the Ghost simply looks stunning.

The Ghost looks by far the better design IMHO...

I think I'll have to go for the Ghost, though I suspect the Bentley will look better in the metal than the pictures suggest.

I like both, but would have no hesitation in opting for the Ghost over the Mulsanne. The Ghost has stature, in every sense of the word.  The Mulsanne can only look on in envy.

+1

Purely because the Bentley Turbo R I drove was way more fun than the Rolls Royce Corniche, despite the Corniche feeling more special. There was a significant age and 'concept' difference between the 2 but the big Bentley was ridiculously fun to drive, the RR was very soft. The Ghost does look much better than the Phantom and its derivatives, which are caricature/cartoon looking cars to me.

Mulsanne, but it's darn close. The Ghost is a striking design but I don't like the headlights and the "power reserve gauge" is a killer. The Mulsanne is not a good design either but I feel more a "Bentley" person.
