Now those are great looking cars, especially the SLs.

I'd actually suggest editing your post to move the first pic of the red SL to the end as it's just too gorgeous and puts the rest to shame!

My wife even said 'WOW!' when she saw that red SL.

I love the fact that I've driven a nice example of the 280SL pagoda top!

Great post, cheers.

Done , if anyone isn't sure of which car is which then look at the source, I've kept the original names.

Wow. If the result of a soggy wet weekend is a thread like this, I'll almost put with the rain again.........

Some lovely cars in there, Dan.

Here is one I saw in the metal in Ingolstadt a few weeks ago:

Mmm...the Count Trossi job IIRC.

I like to think of this as a gorgeous classic Merc   :

But I must admit that this is better:

As is this:

I know you're joking but I actually agree with that statement - I've loved those ever since they came out.

Have you see the original French version of the film Taxi? They play a starring role as the villains' cars.

I love the W124 coupes too, way better looking than either generation of the CLK.

I wish they'd done a 500E coupe - that would have been something.

There's always the W124 E36 AMG...which can be had as an E, CE, cabriolet or TE.

There's a TE version for sale here: http://www.thehairpincompany.co.uk/

I will try and get some photos of my Stepdad's 280 SL. It's not the pagoda jobbie, it's the one after, but it's a handsome beast.

It is indeed, it's in my favourites!

But I sometimes wonder which cars they actually have on their forecourt for sale.  Surely they can't have 10 Veyrons sat there waiting for passing trade to wander in.
