The M1 is of course a fabulous car but actually I find Warhol's paintjob a bit uninspired. Somehow the arty stuff suits the racing cars better than the normal saloons in my eyes. Wasn't there BMW Teile (sp) racing 635 that was like a cutaway drawing of all the oliy bits underneath? His old house is amazing. I was there with my ex (when we were still married) and daughter in, I think, 2001. Manrique is HUGE over there, and had a massive impact on the development of the island; his ideas seem to have been adhered to pretty well over the years, to everyones benefit I believe. Anyway, I knew he'd died in '92, but placed the car as a bit earlier - hence my query. But, thanks anyway!   _________________ Just keepin' on keeping on. Don't see that ever happening in the UK! We have an A2 sized print of one of his last frieze's/murals on our dining room wall 'Calor de la tierra' from 1992.
